We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the Retail Operations team at Estee Lauder Companies.

 

Reporting to the Senior Retail Operations Manager, the role of the Retail Operations Manager is to direct two of the pillars within Retail Operations; Audit and Operations.

Audit

This role will involve overseeing the development and completion of the store audit programme for FSSs and Concessions (both annual store audits and brand quarterly reporting). In addition to supporting the development of exception reporting focusing on key risk areas.

Operations

The Operations function oversees day-to-day cash and stock management in the FSSs and Concessions. Responsibility for cash management, extends to the completion of the retail bank reconciliation and the processing of refunds. The successful candidate will ensure that a high level of store support is given and that all reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

In addition, this area of the department is responsible for supporting the set-up of new stores and events. As these increase in frequency, a robust plan is needed to ensure the ability to trade as expected. The Retail Operations Manager will ensure this happens.


All areas of this role will involve working with Brand and Corporate departments. It will involve regular travel to retail stores, internal brand meetings and ad hoc events.

Whilst not managing Retail Education and Retail Development, an awareness and support of work in these areas is essential.

The role requires working within a busy team, supporting numerous stakeholders. The successful candidate must have the ability to not only manage their own time and appropriately prioritise tasks to meet the needs of the business, but also ensure their reports can do the same.

Candidates must have awareness of operational processes within a retail environment and have experience of managing a team. An understanding of internal audit and retail risk would also be beneficial.  Strong people and time management skills are essential.
